This scholarship is available for students in or entering their first year of graduate studies in the College of Agriculture and Bioresources.

This year, one award of $20,000 per year is available for a student who has commenced an M.Sc. program in 2017. There are not sufficient funds available for an award to a Ph.D. student.

The award may be renewed for an additional year based upon an assessment of satisfactory progress by the student's supervisor.

Applicants are asked to submit a brief statement about their research, particularly the aspects of which apply to the maintenance of profitable production of Western Canadian wheat. Responses will be graded based on the quality of the answers as determined by an Award Committee.
